The Kwikstage Scaffold Transom is the transverse horizontal load-bearing members of the Kwikstage bay. Made from two lengths of 50mm X 50mm angle iron welded back to back forming an inverted “T” section with banana transom ends assemble at each end. The ‘T’ section support steel and Timber Scaffold Planks.
Transoms are made by welding two 5.00 mm angles back to back. Transoms fit into the lower pressings on Scaffold Standards to carry steel boards which make a safe working platform.
Automatic basing out/transverse spacing is afforded by the Scaffold Transom, which come in lengths of 2.4M, 1.8M, 1.2M and 0.7M which provide between 10 and 3 board wide platforms. A maximum load of 675kg ensures you can be confident with your scaffolding on-site.
Transoms have been tested at central point loads as per the requirements of Australian Standards. The inverted “T” transom provides a captive, flush deck. Galvanised steel provides long-term durability.
